Understanding how forests work

I am Paloma Ruiz and I work at the Department of Life Sciences, at the University of Alcalá in Spain, exploring how changes in climate and land use impact forests. My research combines big data with complex modelling techniques, seeking to identify the key mechanisms driving forests’ responses to temporal, spatial, and global environmental changes, and to study their effects on forest management and restoration.
